Day 2: The one with all the excitement!

Today morning was a mad rush!

The happy vacation mood was replaced by crisp white shirts, knotted ties and solid blazers!

As we bundled into the IBM office in Casablanca for meeting all our clients, we realized the huge responsibility that lay ahead of us. I was expecting to be overwhelmed after the client presentations (we are divided into 4 teams of 3 members each to serve 4 different clients in Casablanca) but was highly motivated. The passion with which all clients presented about their organization was enough to inspire us to do our very best to deliver value.

The organization that my team Dani, Juani and me will be working with is ANAPEC. We visited our client’s place today and were amazed by the hospitality and eagerness shown by our clients to help us get started.

We sat down and discussed the Statement Of Work (SOW) amongst ourselves and also with our clients.

At a high level the SOW says we have to assess the current state of Digital strategies in the organization, evaluate the possibilities of improvement and recommend the best possible solutions.

At first glance it seems like a LOT of work and TOO little time. But we believe if we tackle it piece by piece we can ensure to deliver solutions of high quality. After all, The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it 🙂

We wrapped up late at office and came back to the Hotel to discuss about our Clients and SOWs with Boutaina. After a quick discussion we set out on our dinner hunt.

The dinner hunt was to a famous Japanese sushi place but after running around, turning corners, walking for 40 mins in the bitter cold and not finding the sushi place, we settled for a nice Pizza place (no discussions/arguments when it comes to Pizza – it’s universally loved 🙂 ).

Lesson for the day: Spine hurting because of the cold is a real thing!
